City of Fallen Angels (The Mortal Instruments, #4)Title: City of Fallen Angels
Author: Cassandra Claire
Series: The  Mortal Instruments
Date Published: 5th April 2011

Description:  City of Fallen Angels takes place two months after the events of City of Glass. In it, a mysterious someone’s killing the Shadowhunters who used to be in Valentine’s Circle and displaying their bodies around New York City in a manner designed to provoke hostility between Downworlders and Shadowhunters, leaving tensions running high in the city and disrupting Clary’s plan to lead as normal a life as she can — training to be a Shadowhunter, and pursuing her relationship with Jace. As Jace and Clary delve into the issue of the murdered Shadowhunters, they discover a mystery that has deeply personal consequences for them — consequences that may strengthen their relationship, or rip it apart forever.

Meanwhile, internecine warfare among vampires is tearing the Downworld community apart, and only Simon — the Daylighter who everyone wants on their side — can decide the outcome; too bad he wants nothing to do with Downworld politics. Love, blood, betrayal and revenge: the stakes are higher than ever in City of Fallen Angels

Review:
Ok  you need to turn away now if you dont want spoilers because im gonna spill big time. This book had a  really big impact on me. I so LOVE LOVE LOVE  this book.  I didnt want it to end. I didn't think I  would like it as much as the others because it was aimed more at Simon then Jace and Clary, but oh my god, I thought it was great. Well done  Cassandra  you had me on the edge of my seat all the way through this book...And I love books that do that..plenty of action.I will say it was a roller coaster ride with its highs and lows for the characters  at one point I was acting like a big girl and all most crying lol...It even had me shocked in so many bits. There was stuff i wasnt  expecting to happen. Yep another book i just didnt want to put down.

Simon- in the other books i wasn't really struck on  Simon, he didn't really stand out.But in this one he came in to his own. You found out  who Simon was. I thought the whole 2 girl friend thing wasn't very nice but by the  end  of the book it turned its self around. i loved the way if any one tryed to hurt him it would then happen to them, and end up getting killed them selves. In the end of the book Simon was the hero and I loved it.

Jace-  what to say, what to say. I love Jace, he is one sexy guy. But his dark brooding side got him in trouble again. When is he going to learn  to live with who he is. If he finally comes to terms with this then it will be harder for the bad stuff to happen.... I loved the all most sex scene but was a bit disappointed when he got cut short. And for something so silly as Jace cutting Clary with a knife..I so want these two to have there happy ending.

Clary-  Again I loved Clary. she has coped with her new life really well. She is willing to learn and fight to be a shadow hunter so that she can protect her self from the demons and things that all ways want to kill her. I loved Clary more in this book then the others because she was more girlish, instead of the jeans and t-shirts she wore nice dresses..  I  was shocked with what she did at the hospital with the rune, bringing a guy back to life is pretty scary stuff.

Isobel- she is in this book alot more then the others but she is one of Simon's girl friends. I like her more in this book because she isn't as much of a bitch then she is in the others,  we are starting to see a new side to her and i think i like it.

There are more people in this book that I could go on about but then  this review would take forever to read. But over all I  loved this book so much. There was so many bits that shocked me. the hospital thing with the guy coming back to life, and the whole dead demon babies (which made me feel sick). So many things I loved like the whole Jace and Clary romance. I do want them two to finally get a happy ending...Simon and Isobel getting together at the end.yes I'm a soppy cow because I love the romance. I didn't want this book to end, I would of gone on and on and on...But when it did come to the end, it was that shocking I was like   NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!  that did not just end like that..Give me more....So come on Cassandra, hurry with the next one...I cant wait.

RATING  OF 5 LIPS
(I  would of give it more if i marked the books differently).

  1. OK so I read it through. I didn't think it was too spoilerish. I really need to get my act together and reread these books so I can get in the mind frame for this. This is the second review I've read about CoFA and I like this one so much better than the other one. I hope I like it when I get a chance to read it! Great review!
