In a world where being of mixed-blood is a major liability, Sabina Kane has the only profession fit for an outcast: assassin. She's never brought her work home with her---until now.
This time, it's personal.
Review: Sabina is half mage/ half vamp and an assassin for her vampire side of the family. She is classed as being the best at what she does because she doesn't let anyone get in the way of her goal, even if that means killing friends. She is ruled by three vampires known as the Dominae and one of these happens to be her grandmother. Sabina tries to make up for the fact that she is a half breed and puts her all into what she does. But this still doesn't seem to please the her grandmother and the the rest of the vampire race because they cant seem to get past the fact that she is half mage because there on the brink of war with them. But still she keeps trying. Sabina is sent on a secret mission and she is sent on a secret mission to find out more about her enemy but instead Sabina learns more about herself and she refuses to go back to what she once was
On her mission Sabina come across some other amazing characters that become a lifeline to a new life that Sabina so desperately wants. I love Sabina, she is a strong character who learns what she wants and she isn't afraid to go out and get it. she puts her past behind her for a future that will make her happy no matter how hard she might find it. she is sassy and sarcastic and one of my favourite heroines. I loved the fact that she fell for Adam, a mage who is out to help her stop her grandmother.Id like to add he is super hot.
Id all so like to give a big shout out to Gighul, he is a mischief demon who in the start is set out to kill Sabina but very soon becomes one of her close allies. He is amazing and funny and can give Sabina a run for her money with is sarcasm. He has a secret in his pants that will make you ladies giggle and laugh so hard your sides will hurt.
Over all I loved this book and it is not the first time iv read it. the more I read the more and more I grow in love with the series. It has something for everyone and its amazingly well written. its excting and funny and in parts it all most makes you want to shed a tear. what more can you ask from a book.
