REVIEW!!!

The Mage in Black (Sabina Kane, #2)Title: The  Mage in Black
Author: Jaye Wells
Series: Sabina Kane #2
Date Published: April 1st 2010

Description:  Sabina Kane doesn't have the best track record when it comes to family. After all, her own grandmother, the leader of the vampire race, just tried to kill her. When she arrives in New York to meet the mage side of her family, the reunion takes the fun out of dysfunctional.

On top of that, the Hekate Council wants to use her as a pawn in the brewing war against the vampires. Her mission will take her into the bowels of New York's Black Light district, entangles her in mage politics, and challenges her beliefs about the race she was raised to distrust. And Sabina thought vampires were bloodthirsty.

Review: And here it is the second book in the Sabina Kane series. I have to say I had high hopes for this book and I'm very pleased to say it didn't let me down.

In this book we see Sabina, Adam and Gighul set out on a road trip. the trip is for Sabina to go meet her twin sister Maisie and for Sabina to have a new life with her Mage family.  Maisie welcomes Sabina with open arms and doesn't blames her for the past she once lived, Maisie is a total opposite to Sabina and I think this is why the two work so well. Maisie seems to help  keep Sabina grounded. But poor Sabina finds it harder then she thought giving up her old life and finds her self in a little trouble because she doesn't know the politics of the Black light district. But it seems not everyone is happy about Sabina turning up and there seems to be a Mage set out to make her look bad. Having to put her trust in people she hardly knows is a hard thing for Sabina to do.

There book is not as fast paced as the first book because we see Sabina trying to find out how to use and control her Mage magic. But the storyline is still really good. we see Sabina trying to cope with a new and strange life. There isn't as much action in this book but you can totally tell this book was building up to something. I'm gonna let you all in to a secret iv read the next book and it wont let you down.

This is a series people must try, it is a roller coaster ride that will leave you breathless and begging for more.
