REVIEW: DARK FLAME BY ALYSON NOEL

7198988In Alyson Noël’s most darkly seductive Immortals novel yet, Ever fights for control of her body, her soul — and the timeless true love she’s been chasing for centuries.

Ever is trying to help Haven make the transition into life as an immortal. But with Haven drunk on her new powers and acting recklessly, she poses the ultimate threat — exposing their secret world to the outside. But Ever's struggle to keep the Immortals hidden only propels Haven closer to the enemy: Roman and his evil companions.

At the same time, Ever delves deeper into dark magick to free Damen from Roman’s power. But when her spell backfires, it binds her to the one guy who’s hell-bent on her destruction. Now there’s a strange, foreign pulse coursing through her, and no matter what she does, she can’t stop thinking about Roman — and longing for his touch. As she struggles to resist the fiery attraction threatening to consume her, Roman is more than willing to take advantage of her weakened state...and Ever edges closer and closer to surrender.

Frantic to break the spell before its too late, Ever turns to Jude for help, risking everything she knows and loves to save herself — and her future with Damen..

 REVIEW:

In this book we see Ever trying to find a way to get the antidote to the poisoned Elixir Roman give Damon. She tries casting a spell which goes horribly wrong and leaves her connected to Roman in a very personal way.  This leads her bound to him and he ends up being all she can think about and all that her body craves.

Running along side this we see Ever struggling with who to trust, Big shock there as it seem to be a running theme in these books. Because of the trust problems Ever struggles with whether or not she can trust Jude and leads to very drastic measures to find out exactly  if he is trustable and she puts him the hospital.

Another story running in this book is how Heaven is dealing with her  new immortality. We watch as her and Evers friends gets torn apart because of the Ever being bound to Roman Because she catches Ever and Roman in a compromising position.

Well this is the fourth instalment of the Immortals and I have to say this is the best in the series so far. I mentioned in my last review that Ever had to get a back bone and guess what, In this book she did. We seen Ever struggle because of the spell she cast and she ended up in a very dark place But we seen her fight her way back and she even managed to find a little bit of humanity that was hidden inside Roman, which almost leads to her getting the antidote.  Almost being the word. I wont give any more info on what happens in the story but it left me feeling a little frustrated lol.

I think this book was written much better, I read it because I was enjoying it not because I felt I had to finish it.  I really wish the other books were more like this one. Im really hoping the next book is more like this one and not the others.

RATING OF 4 LIPS
