REVIEW: PATRICIA BRIGGS -HUNTING GROUND ( ALPHA &OMEGA #2)

6124297

Anna Latham didn’t know how complicated life could be until she became a werewolf. And until she was mated to Charles Cornick, the son—and enforcer—of Bran, the leader of the North American werewolves, she didn’t know how dangerous it could be either.

Anna and Charles have just been enlisted to attend a summit to present Bran’s controversial proposition: that the wolves should finally reveal themselves to humans. But the most feared Alpha in Europe is dead set against the plan—and it seems like someone else might be too. When Anna is attacked by vampires using pack magic, the kind of power only werewolves should be able to draw on, Charles and Anna must combine their talents to hunt down whoever is behind it all—or risk losing everything

Review:

In this book we see a newly mated Anna and Charles, trying to figure out how to deal with the new life that is set in front of them. trying to put old fears aside while coping with a whole new bond that's growing between them.

Charles and Anna are to take place and host some meets set out to deal with the werewolves coming out to the public. there are many wolves with great fears of how going public will impact on there lives.  To make these meetings even harder then what they thought they would be the most feared Alpha in Europe is to attend.

Things seem to go OK at the meeting but things take a turn for the worse when the the European Alpha turns up dead and Anna is attacked by a group of Vampires who can use pack magic . Charles and Anna Combine there talents and with the help of some close friends  hunt down the master mind behind the who thing.

Briggs is becoming a favourite author of mine but I didn't think I could possibly like this as much as I do the Mercy Thompson series, and I definitely didn't think I would like  the main characters as much. But I'm shocked to say that I clicked with this series right away.  I think its beautifully written and draws you right in. IV found in this book we have seen the characters grow and learn to live a life that was so alien to them.  I love how we have seen Anna finding her courage even when she is scarred to the bone. I didn't think Briggs would be able to turn her character from this frightened little mouse to this clever courageous wolf.  And Charles , what can I say about him other then I love the fact that Anna can see through the charade  he put on for everyone around him. I love that he is more then his fathers fight machine.  To watch them both struggle with inner turmoil but still trust each other enough to get through what is  in front of them.

What I also like about this series its not all about the two main characters, in this series we get to meet and get to know so many other amazing characters and the story line would be no good without them. there is plenty of plot twists to keep you guessing and keep you interested.

This was well worth the read and I'm just gutted I have to wait for the next book to come in the post, when all I wanted to do was jump right into it.
